Strength Training for Older Adults
Older adults of any age and fitness level are invited to join this special 8-week exercise program made possible by a partnership between the Geri-Fit® Company and the James Kennedy Public Library.
Participants will exercise to a Geri-Fit® DVD and most of the exercises will be performed seated in a chair. There is no dancing or aerobics involved. Classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays and last approximately 45 minutes. For best results, participants should attend as many of the sessions as possible. Each participant will need a set of 2 or 3-pound dumbbell weights, a medium weight stretch band, and water to drink. Space is limited so registration is required.
