Ready-Set-Grow: Planting an Amaryllis Bulb for the Holidays
Join us in person to plant your own Amaryllis Bulb!
Ray Kruse, Master Gardener Coordinator and Food Systems Program Coordinator for the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Dubuque County will demonstrate how to plant your bulb and answer related questions. Flower choices are Carmen (scarlet), Samba (red and white) or Picotee (white with red edges) and may be reserved by registering and paying the materials fee. Early registration is encouraged as only 30 kits (10 of each flower) are available. A maximum of 15 is allowed at this in-person session. If demand warrants, a second session may be added on October 28. Cost for this kit, which includes 1 bulb, pot, and soil is $20.00. Bulbs should bloom around the holidays or shortly after.
