The JKPL has partnered with the Hoover Presidential Library to present their 3rd Thursday Virtual Programs! Join us on September 17 for this program on Women’s Suffrage. This year, 2020, marks the Centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which enfranchised American women. This lecture and discussion, led by Karen M. Kedrowski, Director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics and Professor of Political Science at Iowa State University, will discuss the history of the suffrage movement, including its controversies, Iowans’ roles, and its impact.
