Welcome to the 2017 Summer Reading Programs!

CHILDREN: Build a Better World!Build a better world logo_child

  • For children PreK-5th grade
  • The program runs June 5-July 29
  • Paper bingo sheets, events flier, and book bags will be given out at sign up
  • Last day to register is July 24.
  • Download bingo sheets (PreK-5th grade or 0-36 months) or events flier to view or print.  Or pick up a paper copy at the library.

How the program works:

Summer readers will get a fun Library Bingo Card. Kids over the age of three can make a bingo and earn a book of their choice; make a second bingo and get a goody bag. Keep on making bingos (up to 4 per card) and for each bingo their name is entered into the drawing for prizes at the end of the program. Kids may do more than one card. Also, for each bingo square completed participants can add a brick to our LEGO reading tower. There will be a simpler card for kids under the age of 3, with slightly different rules.

TEEN: Build a Better World!Build a better world logo_teen

How the program works:

This year participants will submit short reviews for any books read.  Pick an “alias” for review purposes - be sure to include your alias on each review submitted. Each review gets an entry for prize drawings at the end of the program. Participants must turn in three reviews to complete the program. Those who complete the program will have their name entered into the grand prize drawing for 4 tickets to Adventureland and will be invited to the Teen Summer Reading Program Finale on July 29.
