Getting Nutrition in Check with MyPlate

In January and February join us for four sessions on healthy eating, shopping smart, and menu planning. For this first session, kick off the New Year right by joining us to explore the food groups, portion control, and healthy alternatives to your favorite not-so-healthy foods. We’ll also discuss strategies for staying on track with physical fitness and nutrition goals and tools to help along the way. We’ll wrap the class up with preparing a healthy snack for those mid-day lulls or pre-workout energy jolt needs. This program is geared for adults but teens are welcome.  Registration requested so we know how many snack supplies to have available. Walk-ins welcome but snack supplies are only guaranteed for those that have registered. Presented by Danielle Day from the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
