Join us for this science cafe style reading, viewing, and discussion series on extreme weather and climate change.  At this first of three sessions we will explore how communities are adapting and develop ideas about how families and communities can be better prepared for the future by working together. This gathering includes a discussion of the book Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver.  Registration and reading the book is encouraged but not required.  Pick up a pamphlet for more details. Refreshments provided. PLACE is a library hosted reading, viewing and discussion program for adults in underserved and rural communities, made possible by grants from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Science Foundation.
