Want to learn how to improvise when playing an instrument? Then join us for this program on how to perform musical improvisation. Led by Dr James Sherry and Bill Enke, professional musicians from Dubuque, this program will focus on making up music as you go instead of using sheet music to follow. Attendees will be taught the basics on how to perform a solo and how to write their own part from a musical beat. Registration required by August 7 as six participants are needed to hold the program. Participants should bring their own instruments, however, a few instruments will be provided and can be reserved. Please note that you should already know how to play the instrument you bring with you. All ages welcome. This program will be held in the library parking lot.
