Banned Books Week (September 30 - October 6) is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment. Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States. The library will have an interactive display of challenged and banned books for patrons to peruse.

During this week the library will also be hosting a First Amendment Film Festival. Titles, dates, and times tbd.
