As part of Banned Books Week (September 30-October 6) the library will be hosting a First Amendment Film Festival. We will show four movies that deal with censorship and violation of First Amendment rights.
Tonight's movie will be "Fahrenheit 451." Montag, a regimented fireman in charge of burning the forbidden books, meets a revolutionary school teacher who dares to read. Suddenly he finds himself a hunted fugitive, forced to choose not only between two women, but between personal safety and intellectual freedom. Not Rated. (112 min.)
