The Friends of the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville, Iowa has received a grant award of $6,367.00 from the Dubuque Racing Association, Ltd., to fund the purchase of computer workstations for children in Fall 2012. The funding of this project allows the Friends of the James Kennedy Public Library to purchase two Early Literacy Stations (for children ages 2 to 10) and one AfterSchool Edge (for children 6 to 14). Each computer station comes preloaded with 40+ age-appropriate, fun, engaging, and educational programs. By using the educational software and programs found on the AWE Early Literacy Station and AfterSchool Edge computer workstations, children will not only learn program content, but will also become more computer literate.
