JKPL receives grant

The James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville, Iowa has received a grant award of $500.00 from Humanities Iowa, a state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, in support of a project called “Tickled to Death: Laughter Makes the Best Mystery.” “Tickled to Death” is a six-session book reading and discussion program featuring mysteries with a touch of comedy. The series will include discussion of books by Sparkle Hayter, Jeffrey Cohen, Dana Stabenow, Carl Hiassen, Shary McCrumb, and Donna Andrews. Meetings will start on February 28 and continue through mid May, with sessions on alternating Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
