Tuesday, October 26: An American Experience Book Discussion Series Begins @ 7:00 pm. Join us in reading and talking about The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir by Bill Bryson. In this memoir, Bryson describes his childhood growing up in Iowa during the 50s - recalling county fairs, church suppers, and more. Scholar Allison McNeese will facilitate the discussion. Copies of the book are available to check out from the library. Funded in part by a grant from Humanities Iowa.
