Book discussion.

Tuesday, November 23:  An American Experience Book Discussion Series discussion of "Prodigal Summer" @ 7:00 pm.   Join us in reading and talking about "Prodigal Summer" by Barbara Kingsolver.  In this novel, the coming of summer to Appalachia's Zebulon Mountain brings a blossoming in nature as well as in the lives of reclusive wildlife biologist Deanna Wolfe, young hunter Eddie Bondo, transplanted city-girl Lusa Landowski, and a pair of elderly, feuding neighbors.    Scholar Allison McNeese will facilitate the discussion.  Copies of the book are available to check out from the library.   Funded in part by a grant from Humanities Iowa.
