National D.E.A.R Day is a special reading celebration to remind and encourage families to make reading together on a daily basis a family priority. D.E.A.R Day is celebrated on April 12, the birthday of Beverly Cleary. Library staff, board, volunteers, and friends will take time out of their busy day to read alone or with friends and family. From 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, the Hoffman Community Room will be set up with comfortable seating, bean bags, and pillows for anyone who would like to join us. There will be refreshments, bookmarks and more. All participants will be eligible for door prizes including books and book lights.
