The High Strung

Celebrate the James Kennedy Public Library on Saturday, August 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  As part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville will hold a street dance featuring music by “High Strung.”  This nationally known Rock and Roll touring band, based out of Detroit, plays music that is described as “Beatle-esque.”  In additional to performing a mix of favorite and new tunes, the High Strung will write and perform a new song with the help of the audience!  Plans for this special event include an opening set by "The University of Necessity"—a local band featuring performers, Jared Marugg, Nick Budden, Nick  Whitsell and Ben Gansemer.  There will be food concessions and activities for the kids.  The bands will perform in the street in front of the library (1st Avenue) so bring your own chair and plan for an evening of music and fun!  Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.  Proceeds from all concessions will go to support the activities of the library.
