On the second Wednesday of each month, the library will show a classic movie in the Hoffman Community room. Popcorn and beverages will be provided by the Friends of the Library. This month’s film will be “To Kill a Mockingbird”. Six-year-old Jean Louise "Scout" Finch (Mary Badham) is growing up in the Depression era of the early 1930s in a small Southern town in this highly acclaimed motion picture based on Harper Lee’s semi-autobiographical novel. Jean’s father (Gregory Peck), the town lawyer, is a wise, quiet man with a great sense of justice who defends a poor, black man accused of rape. This black and white film is not rated.
