Afternoon mystery movie at the library.
Tying in with the Summer Reading Program theme of mysteries, the library will show a variety of mystery films on Saturday afternoons through July. This week's movie is "National Treasure". Benjamin Franklin Gates comes from a long line of archaeologists who are searching for a secret stash of cash hidden by Jefferson, Washington and Franklin to help finance the Revolutionary War. Gates has determined that the clue may lie on the back of the original Declaration of Independence. He plots to steal it to find this war chest but he must also battle the FBI who have been tipped off to the hunt in this intelligent action adventure. This PG rated film stars Nicholas Cage and Diane Druger. Popcorn and beverages are provided by the Friends of the Library.
