Fourth in series of interactive programs during summer reading.
Again this summer, the JKPL is partnering with Iowa Public Television and the State Library of Iowa to host a series of five interactive programs that tie into the summer reading programs. These sessions are presented over the ICN so are held in the Beckman Annex. This session will begin with the story "Let's Go Rock Collecting." Then a naturalist from Polk County Conservation Board will explain how Planet Earth is full of scientific mysteries. Rocks and minerals not only compose the earth, they also tell us about the life, landforms, and weather patterns that exist in a particular area. Kids discover for themselves the marvels of rocks and minerals.
